Praying for God’s Comfort (Romans 8:28-39) in a Shambolic World
Thank you, God, for your comforting word: “All things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.” It’s easy to forget this truth in our topsy-turvy world. However, when I look to the hills from which my help comes, I’m convinced that you’re working it out for my good.
Thank you, God, for reminding me that I was destined by divine purpose to be like Jesus Christ. You knew me, called me, justified me, and glorified me even before I was formed in my mother’s womb.
Whenever I wake up to this divine reality, I know that nothing can be against me because God is for me. How do I know this? The primary evidence of this truth is that Jesus died for me. Regarding eternal life, no charges can stand in my way. I can live without condemnation because the resurrected Christ, who surrendered his soul unto death, is always interceding on my behalf.
And nothing (trouble, distress, persecution, hunger, threatened with death) can separate me from your love.
Yes, Lord, this world is full of uncertainties. However, because of You, I am a conqueror through Jesus Christ. Your love surpasses the past, present, and future. Almighty Sovereign God, thank You for reminding me that “all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.”
I love you dearly. AMEN
