Happy Birthday Sweetheart: In loving memory of CWC 1937 to 2016
Dear Sweetheart:
The happiest time for me since your transition March 31, 2016 was reading your response to my first letter! Besides feeling unspeakable joy, your words incentivized me to start exercising again!
Yup, as you see through the mysterious power of the spiritual world, I am hula hooping again and enjoying it. Thank you, Booby! Now, I need to follow your advice and activity of drinking water and eating fresh fruits. I don’t believe anyone enjoyed water, fruits, and vegetables like you. And the praise you poured on my homemade vegetable soup kept the soup coming. You would always say, “you will never be able to make this soup taste like this again.” Were you using a little psychology to keep the soup coming? Well maybe. But, sweetheart, you always knew how to encourage and motivate others.
79 years ago today, May 21, 1937, Mrs. Lucille Cone gave birth to Cecil Wayne Cone. Happy birthday, sweetheart! If you were here in the flesh, there would be a cake with candles. You would make a wish and blow the candles out. Here’s my plans for today: Buy a cake, place a candle on it, and sing to you my love. Oh, yes, I invited Anita, Eric, and Paris to dinner this evening. We are dining at the famous Bones Restaurant. I believe Bones is where we celebrated your birthday either last year or the year before. Although the food was a bit spicy, we enjoyed our meal and the beautiful cake brought to our table.
Honey, work remains quite busy. My patients and staff have been so loving and kind. The hugs, cards, and prayers are quite touching and healing. This past week, your nephrologist sent me a beautiful card. She expressed, “it was an honor to care for Dr. Cone.” I had to contain my emotions given that the whole work day was ahead of me. Now that I am home and recall her words, the fullness in my heart can be expressed in the quietness of our home.
You remember the Christmas gift Anita presented to you as a little girl? Well, I had it framed and will give it back to her today in honor of you and the unconditional powerful love you had for Anita. Anita, Eric, and Paris have been extraordinarily warm and I appreciate it so much. Seeing and talking to her is like seeing and talking to you.
I love you so much. Happy birthday sweetheart!
Kisses to you Boo Boo

Dear Boo Boo:
You look wonderful swinging your hips from side to side with the hula hoop. Don’t let any obstacles stand between you, exercise, water, fruits, and vegetables. Yes, while I did love healthy nutrition, you were the one who encouraged me June 18, 1987, after my first heart attack. I wanted to live. It was your inspiration. As a result, my life was extended by 29 wholesome years.
I am enjoying watching you today, picking up the framed art work for Anita, shopping for groceries, buying the birthday cake, and can’t wait for dinner tonight. You are a beautiful spiritual woman sent to me from the Almighty Sovereign God.
Birthdays are meant to be celebrated. For birth is the Holy miracle that thrust us into the Almighty Sovereign God’s Universe created for an earthly mission only our birth can fill. Thank you for honoring me and celebrating my birthday.
My love for you grows in eternity!
Kisses to you Booby
