A Poem About Love

A Poem About Love

Here’s my hand at poem writing based on (1 Corinthians 13, TLB)

You may have a voice to sing like an angel
Or preach with power and fire,
But without love your words and your voice
Will merely sound like noise

You may have faith to move a mountain and cast it into the sea.
You may have wealth to give all you want, still miss eternity—
Money is no guarantee

If you see someone whose head is hanging low,
Put your arms around their heart and watch them glow

Love is gentle and love is strong
Love keeps no record of when it’s been wronged.
Love is patient and love is kind
Love is giving and forgiving all the time

Faith keeps holding to God’s unchanging hand
Hope sees that the best is yet to come
Love matures, endures, and withstands the test of time
